I own two of these bad boys, one plastic, one real wood. They are [easily] the best Airsoft replicas I own and I may even buy the Lancer next, though I'm not sure they're much better than the AGMs. I only have one MP40, so maybe I'll get another one of them instead . . .

MP 44/StG 44 (Real Wood Stock)

I love this gun and the history behind it, and I'm happy with my purchase because overall it works great so far! It's very accurate and hits hard! However, I had a few issues that weren't pointed out in any of the reviews I've seen:
1) Pin that holds the stock on wouldn't fit through the hole--Had to file down part of the spring that was sticking out.
2) Foam insert for the battery hole in the stock (don't know if they have this problem with the plastic stocks) made it too tight to insert the battery--So I had to carefully cut out the foam, which was glued on.
3) MAJOR PROBLEM: The faux bolt (metal) rubs against the hop-up gears, which are plastic and I may have already chipped it a little from "clacking" it for fun before I realized this.
As a disclaimer, I don't know anyone else with a StG 44, so these problems might just be slight defects with the one I received. Love the gun though! I just test fired it, and can't wait to take it to the field!
