Description:
The M249 SAW is one of the most impressive squad issued weapons on the battlefield today and this replica made by Classic Army holds true to that amazing reputation. The Classic Army M249 Para is based off of the real M249 Para and features several differences compared to the standard M249 which make it easier to carry for Paratrooper Units. The main differences between the standard issue model and the paratrooper model is the uniquely designed collapsible stock and shortened barrel which makes this machine gun easier to wield in more confined spaces and offers a slight weight reduction as well. Just like the real M249 the Classic Army replica only has two modes, full auto and safe which means this gun is built to lay down a massive amount of support fire to keep your enemies behind cover while advancing. The Classic Army M249 also has a built in Bi-Pod that can quickly be deployed in case you need to bunker down and over power your opponents with accurate barrage of airsoft BB's. The gun has a PGC style custom gearbox which can be upgraded and repaired using mostly version 2 gearbox parts (consult an airsoft tech before upgrading for a complete break down of what parts can be installed). By far one of the best features of this weapon platform is its ability to not only use the M249 magazine but it can also use standard M4 / M16 magazines which means its possible to interchange magazines with your teammates when your low on ammo or in a pinch. This is a full metal gun which means it will feel like the real thing in addition to the belt cover functioning just like the real M249. This is one of the most menacing AEG's currently in product and makes a perfect addition to any airsoft team.
